What is the difference between OEM and ODM
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing): you provide the design or sample, the factory produces to spec and applies your brand — best when you already have a clear product definition.
ODM (Original Design Manufacturing): the factory provides proven flask shapes and design, you select and fine-tune then private-label — best to launch fast and lower development cost.
Process and timelines
A typical customization chain looks like this; timing varies with order complexity:
- Inquiry and requirement confirmation: model, quantity, material (304/316), destination
- 3D sample: about 7–10 days, confirm look and structure
- Mold sample: about 15–20 days, confirm production process
- Bulk production: typically 25–30 days, depending on quantity and process
- Inspection and shipment: 100% inspection on appearance, seal, food-grade
- Logistics: FOB Ningbo / CIF / LCL or FCL
Customization options
- Branding: laser engraving, silk screen, pad printing logo
- Appearance: spray, electroplating, rubber paint, custom colors
- Material: 304 / 316 stainless liner, Tritan / BPA-free plastic
- Capacity: 350ml–1500ml in multiple steps
- Lids and accessories: straw lid, push lid, tea strainer
- Packaging: color box, blister, gift box and barcode labeling
MOQ and quotation
Badun Trading standard MOQ is 500 pcs per style, negotiable by model and customization.
Quotes are based on material, process, capacity and quantity; common terms for new clients are T/T 30% deposit, 70% before shipment.
Trade terms and logistics
We support EXW, FOB Ningbo and CIF; we can assist with LCL (less-than-container) and FCL (full container) and provide end-to-end shipment tracking.
Sampling fees are normally charged and deductible against the bulk order; stock samples can be negotiated free (freight collect).
